In reference to the article in the Homes magazine Dec 7th instant ‘almost the Last of Great Adobes’ I wish to compliment the detailed and talented journalism displayed by writer Devon Jackson.Who knew?
I was remiss in omitting in my interview with him however the important contributions of Thor Sigstedt,a local artist and builder who assisted me at the beginning in my efforts as an owner/builder.I was referred to Thor thru my neighbor and friend Cathie Sullivan on whose Solar adobe I had previously Labored.
Thor guided the project out of the ground and provided the initial carpentry during the first phase and I regret to say I failed to relay to Devon his important,kind and critical support.It was Thor who connected me with the gifted stonemason John Morris and John who referred me to Kevin and Russel of Blue Raven which ultimately led to connection with Peter Lauritzen and partner Lyn.It was this Organic band of brothers and craftsmen from which the House arose that began with Thor.
