Note: Gotta Dance (thank you very much, Donna Howell, for listing this event!) gives the time as 6-9 but it is 5-11 and they also suggest that Honky Tonk Deluxe is playing, but, sadly, that is not the case this time, as we decided on our friend, Steve Rose and the Buffalo Nickel Band. We love Susan Holmes and the HTD and wanted to give another band a chance to be here. Thanks, also, to Ron and Mickey for telling folks about us.
It looks like Boyz Night Out (a local bunch, including Belle and Thor, who have played together for years and have great fun) will open to entertain near the beginning till 6:30, when Steve and BNB will start up. There is a large, homemade dance floor and an outside stage. There is plenty of room in the shop for sitting and eating and can handle the situation if it is raining!
There are two rows of horseshoe pits and plenty of hiking, splashing and tramping around if one wishes.
The $5 donation is not obligatory by any means and should not in any way hamper people from coming or be any source of shame; just walk on in and donate, self change, only if you are inspired to do so. Children, of course.....free.
There is a rustic bathroom in the middle building, in the back.
